Photo editing and proofreading from the comfort of my work store instead of the usual hangout store. A free drink, a cozy and warm little corner, not giving enough fucks to be afraid to pull the blinds when the sun starts to put a glare on my screen… I might end up here more often than I already am.
Also, a “WHOA! I DIDN’T RECOGNIZE YOU WITH YOUR CIVILIAN CLOTHES!” was pretty funny. No kidding, I look different. Because believe it or not, I’m actually kind of attractive when I’m not wearing all black with minimal makeup and my hair isn’t just a disheveled bun on top of my head. But I still look like I belong in middle school. That much will probably never change.
ANYWAY BACK TO WORK. The cool kind.

This way, I’ll be able to post a few of my favorites on here, then go on a guiltless spamming spree on the other page without flooding your dashes. I get to share my hard work that I love to do with the people whose opinions I value most, while still getting to summon the hipsters so they can reblog and reblog to their hearts desires. It’s the best of both worlds.
I only just made it, so I still have to actually upload the pictures and set up an attractive layout and whatnot. While I’m getting all that done, you can start following it here and check out my soon to be updated Flickr here.
Thanks for your support, darlings. :)

To make up for the negativity I just allowed my tumblr to be infested with, here’s a picture of my happy place. Time to go spend many hours drinking white mochas, editing 600ish pictures, and occasionally watching the rain pour down the window next to me with Circa Survive in my ears. Just the way I like it.

I just texted my friend who hooks me up with all my press passes to see if he would be shooting the Brand New show in November.
“I didn’t even know they were playing. I’ve been focusing on the bigger artists.”
“I didn’t know Brand New wasn’t big.”
“They’re has beens.”
This bothered me. Not the part where he offended one of my favorite bands (ignoring the fact that what he said is completely false, anyway). The part where he said he has been focusing on bigger artists. I hope I don’t turn into this. I don’t want to be a sellout artist. Being in the art field is a choice. You do it because you love it. Sure, there’s a different thrill that comes from shooting the more generic, overplayed bands. But there’s an even bigger one that comes from shooting bands that mean something to you even if they might not be as well known. Focusing strictly on publicity and attention over personal gain makes you lose sight of what brought you to where you are. I feel sorry for people who forget to remember that.
